Moon Manifestation: Full Moon in Aquarius
Ah, the full moon. The halfway point of the lunar cycle, where we can begin to harvest the results of our manifestations. Our energies and intensities are at their peak, and the challenges that we will have to conquer begin to show themselves. At the same time, it is important to show gratitude to what we have already accomplished; the entire process is a journey, and focusing only on the goal will lead to frustration, impatience, and an unwillingness to grow. Enter the save point: a beautifully effervescent cocktail, designed to highlight the abundance and prosperity we have been working towards this cycle while celebrating the accomplishments we have already achieved.
The Drink
The Save Point is a an variation on an Aperol Spritz, featuring the bitter sweet apertif, prosecco, and club soda. This particular variant adds a spiced pineapple cordial and lime juice to the drink, adding richness, brightness, and decadence.
Aperol Spritzes, and their counterparts, are famous for being one of the best hot weather cocktails. They are low abv, and the bubbles combined with the slight acidity and bitterness create an incredibly refreshing drink. While generally we look at the ingredients first for a cocktails intentions, here the shell for the recipe adds quite a bit of it’s own. Whereas beating the heat is quite literal in this sense, it also applies in a magickal sense as well. Manifestation comes with new challenges and opportunities for growth, and these can add stress and pressure that distracts from what we are trying to achieve. Beating the heat, in this context, can also mean beating the pressure, rising to the occasion, and learning from our mistakes instead of becoming frustrated by them.
The Ingredients
Pineapple: This fruit has been a symbol of wealth and prosperity for as long as it’s been cultivated. Numerous cultures around the world have used it as blessings and gifts to encourage wealth and prosperity, ranging from blessings of new homeowners to signals of new found prosperity sitting in windows. Pineapples are great for drawing wealth and success, as well as celebrating the accomplishments we’ve already had. It’s high levels of sweetness here get concentrated by being caramelized, intensifying not only it’s flavors but also their intentions.
Cinnamon: This spice is one of the most classic money drawing reagents out there. Tracing all the way back to spice trade that brought it to the world, it was and still is a big source of income and prosperity for the people involved in growing, processing, and transporting it. In this cocktail, it’s use is quite straight forward: it’s all about the continued success and prosperity we’ve worked so hard to achieve.
Clove: Primarily, this is used for a combination of banishment, protection, and cleansing, with looser associations of wealth and money. The prevention of negativity is the key idea here: preventing and working through negative thoughts and energies is one of the best ways to help work through challenges as they pop up. This will help us banish any negative emotions we may be facing at the moment, cleanse our thoughts to look forward, and protect us as we work through them.
Prosecco: Sparkling wines, from champagne to prosecco to cava, are the epitome of celebration and abundance. Grapes themselves have a long history of representing abundance in their natural state: the time and energy it takes to skillfully ferment them, and the fact you have to have enough of them to turn them into wine at all, only intensifies these intentions. Here, it’s purpose is more celebratory; although our eyes are pointed forward, it is paramount to enjoy, appreciate, and recognize how far we have already come. If we allow ourselves to focus only on the goal, and not celebrate the small steps, manifestations will weaken and we will find ourselves stumbling short of these.
Aperol: Although the exact blend of herbs and spices that go into this liqueur are unknown, there are three ingredients that they openly feature: gentian root, rhubarb, and cinchona bark. Gentian root is wonderful for increasing the potency of other herbs in your magick. Rhubarb is focused primarily on love and protection, further reinforcing yourself to power through and to appreciate your small victories. Finally, cinchona bark is well known for its health benefits, both intentionally and for dealing with fevers and other ailments. All together, these make for a wonderful combination to prevent feeling run down, both physically and emotionally, as we progress further through our manifestations.

Tenacity: Regardless of what challenges lie in my future, I will rise to the occasion and work through them to completion.
Self Appreciation: I have already come a long ways towards my goals, and I have already begun to see the results of my efforts.
