Magic in Minutes: Savory Toasts
Back when I began thinking about starting this blog, one of the most important components that I wanted to feature is how to make intentional recipes as exciting, easy and accessible as possible for my fellow busy witches.
Magic doesn’t just revolve around sabbats and moon phases; it is present in every facet of our lives, but sometimes it just seems like there isn’t enough time in the day to capture this energy the way we would want to. This is where my mission came into focus; we all have to eat and cooking is an amazing and simple way to weave more intention into your daily routine.
Remembering this and thinking of my own daily intentional cooking habits, I decided to give you all a peek at one of my go to meals to make for myself: Savory Toasts.
I have become quite obsessed as of late with these ultra satisfying toasts since they are simple to prepare and pretty portable, so I can easily nibble on them for breakfast while I work. However, these can absolutely be paired with a lovely salad or bowl of soup as a nice light lunch or dinner as well. The best part for me is you can build each toast with whatever intention you want to focus at any given time, meaning you can work your magic no matter what the day decides to throw at you.
I decided to offer up three of my favorite variations of savory toasts featuring different flavors and intentions to get you all started, however the versatility of gorgeous ingredients you can use to create them is practically endless.
Roasted Garlic Avocado Toast
Avocado toast is really the OG of the savory toast game; you don’t usually have to go far to find a restaurant or cafe that has a version of it on their menu. The good thing is, it is just as easy to make at home and has a lot of intentional benefits to offer you.
My variation of this classic starts with a base of sweet caramelized roasted garlic (check out my recipe to make your own homemade version here: Garlic Confit), then a generous amount of creamy avocado slices, and all topped off with everything bagel seasoning and an over easy egg. Personally, I love to make this toast for times when I know that I will need a clear head and extra protective energy to get me through the day. The addition of the egg brings with it the power for a fresh start no matter what time of day you choose to enjoy this, however you can absolutely omit it if you’d like to make it vegan friendly.

- 1/2 tsp everything bagel seasoning (cleansing, protection, open mindedness)

Honey Roasted Butternut Squash, Burrata, and Hazelnut Toast
I am an absolute advocate for butternut squash to be in more recipes because I adore it so much! It has a rich, slightly sweet taste, which I like accentuating here with a drizzle of honey, a dollop of luxurious burrata cheese, and a sprinkle of crunchy hazelnuts. Intentionally, this toast continues with that “rich” theme and is perfect for when you are looking to either attract more material wealth or if the abundance you seek is that of knowledge and wisdom.
I do highly recommend roasting off more of the squash than you need; It will keep well in a sealed container for 4-5 days and is very versatile. You can save the extras to make more of these toasts, use it as side dish for chicken and pork or opt to make it the star of the show on top of a vegetarian brown rice bowl!

Blistered Tomato and Ricotta Toast
Our last toast might just be my favorite because it just has it all! The slightly caramelized balsamic roasted tomatoes offer so much sweetness and vibrancy to beautifully compliment the richness of the milky ricotta cheese and herbaceous pesto and a drizzle of garlic oil seals the whole deal.
This toast is fairly multi-purpose when it comes to magical intention; the ingredients hold energy for when you are looking to boost love and relationship workings, as well as those focusing on improving physical health and drawing in material wealth. While you can absolutely make your own pesto for this dish, there are a bunch of great store bought varieties out there too, so don’t feel any shame in utilizing those!
